A Gripping Start to a Promising Series

Lynette Bonner crafts a compelling narrative full of intrigue, danger, and layered characters. On the Wings of a Whisper kicks off with high stakes and even higher tension. RyAnne is deeply concerned about her father’s fragile health, especially as he prepares to head off on a risky expedition with the bold and enigmatic Captain Trent Dawson. Despite her efforts to persuade him to stay, the journey remains set in motion. A lively ball the night before departure adds even more drama, but RyAnne ultimately has to accept his decision.
The dynamic between RyAnne and Trent is electric. They're constantly butting heads, yet there's an undeniable chemistry bubbling beneath their sharp exchanges. Their interactions bring a lightness to the story—often funny, occasionally heartwarming, and always entertaining.

Africa is real

Reading On the Wings of a Whisper, I was kept on the edge of my seat as the main character kept getting into a jam over and over again. Very well written, and believable story. I lived in Africa for many years, and I could relate to much of what the author shared.

Great book!

I read many books each year - this is the best I have read in a long time (it is also the first book I have read by Lynnette Bonner). I loved everything about it -story, writing style, characters, action, suspense...

I can't wait to read more of her books!
